Playa Nueva Romana unleashed its most "rocking" side when it presented the premiere of the long-awaited film "Bohemian Rhapsody", which recreates the life and career of Freddie Mercury, vocalist of the English band Queen. The premiere was a joint effort by the residential resort, owned by Grupo Piñero, with the radio station Be 99.7 FM and other companies.
The event was attended by Playa Nueva Romana executives and owners, as well as other people related to the brand and special guests. It was set in a glamorous and extravagant style typical of the 1970s and 1980s, when Queen was at its peak, captivating millions of fans around the world.
During the premiere, the CEO of the residential resort, Jesus Duran, stressed that "Playa Nueva Romana is present in key moments of art and culture, including cinema. In fact, our passion for cinema and music is an important part of our brand identity.”
The film, directed by American Bryan Singer, narrates the rise of Queen with a soundtrack peppered by some of the group's most iconic songs, like “We Will Rock You”, “Love of my Life”, “We are the Champions”, and of course, the song that lent its name to the movie and that catapulted Freddie Mercury to worldwide fame. The film features actors Rami Malek, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy and Joseph Mazzello.
The premiere was part of the program of activities of the residential resort, which is well known for organizing cultural celebrations, special commemorations, parties and gatherings for the complex's owners, professional golf and other sports events.
